Summer brings long days and warm weather to the Whanganui region. The comfortable evening temperatures are ideal for relaxed alfresco dining and twilight walks. Throughout the region, beautifully maintained parks, gardens and reserves are at their very best. It’s a great time for outdoor adventures. Wilderness hiking tracks are dry and easy going. On the coast, the Tasman Sea offers a pleasant refreshing swim and the black sand beaches are a naturally heated surface on which to lie back and enjoy the surrounding seascapes.
